What types of plaques and memorials do you offer?
We offer bronze, granite, porcelain plaques, and small upright memorials. Each material has different styles, finishes, and durability. We’ll guide you to choose the best option for your needs, budget and cemetery regulations.
Do you do upright burial memorials as well?
Yes, absolutely. Our parent company, Waikato Stonecraft, has offices in Hamilton, Cambridge, and Rotorua, working with families all through the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and beyond with memorial headstones for council cemeteries and urupa.
How do I know what size memorial is allowed in my cemetery?
Cemetery rules vary by local council. We keep up-to-date with these requirements and will advise you on the permitted sizes and materials before you place an order. You can also check our Cemetery Regulations page for specific council details.
How long does it take to make a plaque or memorial?
Typical production times are:
Bronze: 6-8 weeks
Granite: 3-4 weeks
Porcelain: 6-8 weeks
Small Uprights: 3-4 weeks
If you need a faster turnaround, please contact us as options may be available.
What information should I include in my inscription?
Typically, inscriptions include the name, dates, spouse name, children (if any), and a short message or tribute. We can help with wording ideas if you’re unsure, and we limit characters to ensure legibility and fit.
Can you help me with the wording if I’m struggling?
Absolutely. We understand this can be a difficult time, and we’re here to help you find the right words that honour your loved one meaningfully.
How much will a plaque or memorial cost?
Pricing depends on the size, material, and design complexity. We provide clear, upfront quotes and confirm costs with you before starting any work. There are no hidden fees.
Do you install the plaques and memorials?
Yes, we offer professional installation services to ensure your memorial is securely and correctly placed according to cemetery regulations.
What if I need to change something once I have confirmed an order or draft?
We keep you updated throughout the process. Minor changes may be possible before production starts; please contact us as soon as possible to discuss.
Can you ship or install memorials outside the Waikato?
Yes, while we mostly cover the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions, we can supply and arrange installation in areas outside our coverage area if required. Or we can put you in touch with the New Zealand Master Monumental Masons Association member in that area to look after this for you. Please contact our staff to discuss.
What happens if the memorial doesn’t meet cemetery regulations?
We proactively ensure all designs comply with council rules before production. If any issue arises, we’ll work with you and the cemetery to find a solution quickly.
