We're here to help

Explore our quick tips to help you choose your memorial, from selecting the best materials to understanding cemetery requirements. We’re here to help you craft a beautiful, lasting memorial — one that you and your family will be proud of for years to come.

Check cemetery rules early

Knowing size and material specifications upfront saves delays later. Most council websites will have their options available. A good way to choose where you would like inter ashes is to visit your local cemetery and view the gardens and see what suits you best. Our Cemetery Regulations page has council details to get you started.

Keep inscriptions simple

Short, meaningful messages work best for clarity and longevity. We’re happy to help with wording ideas. Once you have supplied your inscription details, our graphics team will provide a draft layout showing what the plaque or memorial could look like when finished.

Plan ahead

Lead times vary - granite and small uprights typically take 3-4 weeks, bronze and porcelain 6-8 weeks from the time the draft layout has been approved and signed. Order early to avoid stress.

Choose durable materials

A granite plaque is a usually a cheaper option, it does require maintenance. Depending on the area or garden it is installed to, it is likely to need repainting at 5-10 years.
Bronze plaques do cost a bit more initially but, although they will loose their shine over a period of time, they will always remain legible.
Chrome plaques - is a chromed bronze plaque.
Porcelain plaques are priced slightly higher again than a bronze plaque but, again, these will always remain legible.
The granite option, however, is the only one that can have a second inscription added to it. We simply leave a space on the plaque for further details to be added. We cannot add an additional inscription to a bronze or ceramic plaque. If you want to put a bronze or ceramic plaque on initially, then add husband or wife, more often than not, we  need to remove the original plaque and replace it with one with 2 inscriptions on it.

Photos matter

Upload high-quality images for the best plaque reproduction. We’ll advise on resolution and format when you submit your photo. Sometimes supplied photos aren’t the best quality but often it is all the family has – we will work with what you have to get the best reproduction possible.

Stay in touch

We’ll keep you updated during the process — ask questions anytime. Communication is key.
